UNCG 2025 Vanguard Reunion Weekend
On Saturday, April 12, SCUA was honored to host the Class of 1969 in the Hodges Reading Room for their Class meeting (below). Department Head Kathelene McCarty Smith created a special display, focusing on artifacts from the years that the alumni were on campus. She also gave them a behind-the-stacks tour of the Archives and a tour of the Burgin Ross exhibit, Burgin Abroad: Women’s Relationships and Nourishing Communities in Liberia.

Class of 1975
Additionally, Archivist Scott Hinshaw created an extensive exhibit, featuring historic materials from/about the Class of 1975 which was on display at the Alumni House. The exhibit featured photographs, yearbooks, class jackets, and other memorabilia.

Class of 1975 Physical Education Majors Reunion
The very tight-knit class of 1975 met at the Coleman Auditorium for their 50th reunion. Vicki Simmons saved all of her materials from her time at UNCG, including photographs, textbooks and notebooks! The class also displayed a quilt made up of squares with the names of all of the women in the class. We are very excited because they are interested in donating their material to SCUA! Beth Ann Koelsch even got to spend some time with Marine Corps veteran Betsy Blee.

Betsy Blee says:
So cool, and thank you all in the libary for taking such an interest in our class members and stories. We appreciate and are very excited about our collaboration! Betsy
